We have an opportunity for a Building Services Technician II

Job Summary

The Building Services Technician II is accountable to the Building Services Manager for all activities relating to the repair and reporting of irregularities of the GMP and non-GMP areas of the entire building. This includes site equipment maintenance, as well as providing maintenance support to other departments in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturers Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain building and facilities system according to internal protocols and applicable regulations. These systems include but are not limited to Building Automation System (BAS), Fire Alarm and Monitoring systems, Access control systems, building infrastructure and HVAC equipment.
  • Perform regular basic inspections and maintenance activities and operation of HVAC units that service the multiple buildings in the facility and liaise with approved service contractors when major repairs are required or suggested.
  • Performs preventative maintenance checks, reports deficiencies, and minor repairs according to internal SOP’s requirements of building services systems and infrastructure.
  • Supports and Conducts building maintenance including wall repair, painting, ceiling tile replacement, floor tile replacement, roof repair (minor), re-lamping, furniture move, furniture repair locksmith, parking maintenance, signage, doors, loading dock, minor plumbing works, and other works related to building maintenance.
  • Obtains estimates & quotes from Vendors and arranges for the execution of the contracted services including necessary coordination and supervision for minor maintenance activities as assigned by the department.
  • Execute assigned work orders or service request orders, reports work performed and generate follow up work orders based on inspections and repairs requirements.
  • Coordinates repairs and small projects work with third party vendors according to facility requirements registered either through CARL or Ticket system.
  • Records all work incidents, deviations, and deficiencies in maintenance logbooks of every equipment assigned for inspection or repair.
  • Collaborate with contractors as required. Provides support for capital projects related to building improvements or modifications.
  • Orders parts, filters and other consumables and stays within operating budget.
  • Writes, evaluates, and maintains facility systems documentation as required to ensure compliance with GMP guidelines, established safety standards and company goals.
  • Maintains a high degree of cooperation with other departments.
  • Communicates work activities with stakeholders to ensure buy-in or agreed expectations are met.
  • Performs safety audit/inspection and addresses safety issues and participates in JHSC and safety initiatives.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and project teams.
  • Acts as a back-up for other members of the Building Services Team.
  • Follows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met.
  • Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • College Diploma or a trade certificate in a related field either as Building Operations Technician or similar.
