We have an opportunity for a Building Services Coordinator.

Job Summary

The Building Services Coordinator is accountable to the Building Services Manager and is responsible for coordination of building maintenance activities and planning, providing support to the Building Services team. These building equipment/systems include hard and soft services. This role is also responsible for coordinating with third party contractors according to maintenance needs.

 

The Building Services department is responsible for the following programs and systems across the Cambridge site complex comprised of 5 buildings: garmenting, custodial, sanitation, building repairs, maintenance, building systems, security, and pest control.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up to date a uniform inventory database and coordinate with the third-party uniforms contractors for new garment requirements, personalized garment, and storage requirements based on the employee’s headcount changes and other requirements.
  • Coordinate with the custodian team the organization, 5S and distribution of the change rooms, uniforms, and airlocks in the plant.
  • Coordinate with the security team the designation of parking spaces, lockers and access based on internal procedures and standards. Maintain the designation register database updated including employee changes, new hires, and other relevant changes in personnel head count.
  • Plan and coordinate with the in-house technicians the schedule, resources and sequence of work orders execution and implementation based on the department and plant priorities and resources availability.
  • Plan and coordinate with approved third-party contractor execution of work orders according to existing computerized maintenance system. Coordinate additional resources and documents related to the implementation of planned activities.
  • Coordinate the schedule and execution of work orders in CARL (computerized maintenance system) and Building Services request systems, to ensure timely completion and closure of all preventative and corrective work orders and requests.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, production and supply chain, equipment, and areas availability; and involve other departments as needed to assess the implication of work execution and limitation and impacts related to activities executed by the Building Services Team.
  • Prepare and maintain the department metrics related to work orders and compliance
  • Keep the maintenance work order inventory updated. Add equipment, maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders to the system when necessary. Update the maintenance activities based on changes and new requirements.
  • Maintains a high level of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory safety in all aspects of work.
  • Coordinates/supports quality systems documentation related to building services i.e., corrective actions, deviations, change control, quality documentation.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities following the internal procurement process for external services and material required for assigned task.
  • Prepare purchase requisition for required services and materials related to maintenance and improvement activities. Received goods and services once delivered or implemented. Keep records of requisition and deliveries for auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate designated works with support of third-party contractors in according to internal procedures and promotes a safety behavior environment with the implementation team and other Building Services personnel according to internal policies and local regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operations and maintenance of industrial buildings
  • Engineering, Facilities or, Maintenance and Diploma or related experience required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, food/beverage or consumer packaging is an asset
  • Good interpersonal, troubleshooting, communication, planning & organizing skills, demonstrates initiative, problem solver, team player, results oriented and self-motivated.
  • Has the ability to lead and take ownership on systems and projects.
  • Experience in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and ERPs is an asset
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset
