The company has an opening at its sterile injectable manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario for a Talent Acquisition Specialist Lead.
Job Summary
The position of Talent Acquisition Specialist lead is accountable to the Human Resources Manager to develop and execute a talent strategy within North America. This includes a wide range of talent acquisition activities such as overseeing or leading key projects tied to the strategy, supporting and developing the Talent Acquisition Specialist team, building our company brand within the market, at the Universities and Colleges and via social media from a recruitment standpoint and networking with our community and industry to build strong relationships.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Develop and execute talent and branding strategies, including market intelligence, designed to support the company’s short and long-term strategic goals.
▪ Leads the performance and development of all direct reports. In conjunction with the Departmental Manager conducts employee relations activities (such as: completion of employee performance reviews, carrying out performance improvement initiatives, recommend and administer disciplinary action and guide conflict resolution by investigating employee complaints and initiating suitable resolution). Partners with discusses and plays a supporting role for each talent acquisition team members plan for personal and career growth and development.
▪ Develop and execute strategy to ensure recruitment and staffing requirements are met.
▪ Identifying and implementing process or programs opportunities from a continuous improvement perspective.
▪ Create and implement sourcing methodologies to effectively develop a candidate pipeline strategy for key internal and external positions.
▪ Research and recommend vendor tools and systems that could enhance the process or experience and bring further efficiencies (i.e.: AI, reference checking, etc.).
▪ Lead or oversee recruitment projects lead by the recruitment team to ensure the projects align with the overall strategy and are executed as per the timeline.
▪ Revise and update recruitment policies and procedures, communicate the changes within the HR team and the business.
▪ Apply best practices to our recruitment processes to further improve them and attract and retain top talent.
▪ Support and partner with the TA Specialists on challenging roles to fill.
▪ Identify operational efficiencies and create programs that support the onboarding process.
▪ Create a social media strategy focused on building brand awareness.
▪ Proactively participate in community activities to promote the organization’s brand and build connections through job fairs, networking opportunities, associations, etc.
▪ Ensure a high-quality candidate and customer (internal stakeholder) experience through regular feedback touch points with new hires and hiring managers. Proposing solutions to further enhance the recruitment process (i.e.: DE&I, accommodations, etc.)
▪ Ensure all recruitment metrics are updated monthly. Create plans on how to further improve the metrics so we can ensure we are meeting our targets.
▪ Acts as the lead for North America to ensure the optimal set-up and use of the HRIS recruitment module.
▪ Ensuring Legislative compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
▪ Complies with GMP guidelines.
▪ Observe and support all safety guidelines and regulations.
▪ Responsible for completing all other duties as assigned and in compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources or related discipline.
- CHRL designation or actively pursuing.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience providing full cycle recruitment support to highly skilled roles and various levels across North America. Leadership experience is an asset.
- Pharmaceutical network/experience is an asset.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience and success recruiting, full time, co-op and contract roles end to end.
- Ability to be creative with talent acquisition and sourcing candidates.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- High levels of integrity, diplomacy, and tact, with an ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and work within established deadlines.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability build relationships inside and outside of the organization.
- Proven ability to work fast-paced environment and work autonomously.
- Strong computer skills (MS office, ATS/HRIS systems and social media platforms).
