We have an opportunity for a CONTRACT MATERIAL HANDLER / FORKFLIFT OPERATOR.
Job Summary
The Material Handler is accountable to the Production Supervisor for activities relating to the warehouse organization and production department. Responsibilities include cleanliness, inventory accuracy, movement of materials to support Production requirements and other internal departments. The Material Handler will ensure the smooth flow of the finished goods and materials throughout the facility.
DAY / AFTERNOON / NIGHT SHIFT Available
Responsibilities
▪ Performs cycle counts as identified by the cycle count program and support activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
▪ Generates reports and completes transactions from the ERP system.
▪ Compiles and transfers materials from the warehouse to the Production facility and other internal departments to support their requirements.
▪ Transfers finished goods and other materials from the production facility to the warehouse for storage.
▪ Anticipates production demands and proactively solves potential issues.
▪ Puts product into designated storage areas to maintain cleanliness and an efficient and organized process flow of material.
▪ Responds to multiple production demands and juggle multiple priorities. Uses problem solving to effectively optimize space.
▪ Supports shipments to external customers and vendors by loading trucks and processing documents.
▪ Supports the receipt process from suppliers and vendors by unloading trucks and processing documents.
▪ Participates in temperature monitoring program as required.
▪ Delivers received mail and other items to recipients within the facility.
▪ Follows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met.
▪ Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations.
▪ Demonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
▪ Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
▪ High School Diploma.
▪ Completed post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Experience
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Counter Balance, Electric Walkie, Narrow Aisle and Reach Truck experience is required.
• Previous Pharmaceutical experience, including GMP knowledge is considered an asset
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, RF Scanners and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task and respond to changing demands.
