We have an opportunity for an Assistant Logistics Coordinator.

Job Summary

The Assistant Logistics Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor and is accountable for activities related with the logistics and warehousing at Septodont Cambridge including but not limited to sales order processing, inventory control, shipments to the customer, inbound shipments from the Vendors and logistics reports & KPI’s. The position also acts as backup in the absence of the Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor. 

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, reserves and processes Cambridge outbound shipments; constructs shipping routes to maximize efficiency of loads, while meeting customer expectations. 
  • Monitors and schedules dock times for inbound and outbound shipments. 
  • Performs the following activities and update the ERP system with real
  • time transaction: 
    Stores materials in designated location. Supports a two-way flow of material between the warehouse and the internal customers. Ships products to customers, vendors, external contractors. Generates and process paperwork to ensure accuracy of the above tasks and meet customer requirements including documentation for Customs officials and Drivers. Operates Transpallet machine, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance, Walkies, Scanners and Dock Heating Systems according to SOP’s and conduct daily inspections. 
  • Responds to changing demands of the position, resets priorities and troubleshoot issues. 
  • Prepares reports including but not limited to, inbound shipments, pending orders, shipments to the external customer, KPI’s, & logistics reports. 
  • Follows inbound shipments from Vendor to receipt supporting the Freight Forwarder, Customs officials with inquiries or documents. 
  • Ensures all inbound documentation is complete and provided to the Receiver for timely receipt into the ERP system. 
  • Assess inventory to identify replenishment from the offsite warehouse.  
  • Support preparation for Audits of the facility. 
  • Ensure a showcase ready appearance of the warehouse area. 
  • Assist with updates to GMP documents as required to ensure they align with the required processes. 
  • Monitor warehouse team training to ensure it is current and send reminders. 
  • Assist with implementation of continuous improvement projects. 
  • Processes Data Loggers for temperature monitoring for inbound and outbound shipments; maintains necessary support documentation. 
  • Ensures all warehouse temperature charts and logbooks are reviewed and documentation is maintained current. Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely completion of all entries related to inventory cycle count (monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end inventory counts) in all warehouse locations.   
  • Point of contact for internal Customer Service staff; including resolution of customer service inquires related to shipping discrepancies. 
  • Acts as a single point of escalation in the absence of the Logistics Supervisor; being available onsite to field questions from the warehouse staff and internal customers, escalating to management when appropriate. 
  • Acts as a backup to the Customer Logistics Coordinator for preparation of international, OEM, and pharma customers. 
  • Follows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met. 
  • Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations. 
    Models the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices. 

Qualifications

Education 

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field. Any Logistics,
  • APICS, International Trade diplomas will be considered an asset. 
  • Any Logistics, APICS, International Trade diplomas is an asset. 

Experience 

  • Minimum 1-year experience within an administrative environment such as customer service, logistics, customs brokers, transportation. 
  • Pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset. 
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines. 
  • Adaptable with ability to change priorities and work under pressure. 
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound judgments. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environment. 
  • Forklift license is mandatory. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated professionalism with ability to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (focus on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).  Familiarity with Business ERP Systems.

  • AX expertise and ASN experience is a plus.
